Whether offering their life experiences or wisdom for making the most out of each day, older adults give so much to their peers and younger generations. The Shepherd’s Center believes in giving back. We provide volunteer run services and programs designed to help adults 55 and older maintain their independence and successfully age in place. It enriches their life…and our community.

Betsy Solomon, MA
Betsy Solomon has worked in the rewarding non-profit world of senior programming for 23 years – including various roles at the Shepherd's Center. Her prior professional life included Education Manager for St. Louis Regional OASIS as well as teaching and curatorial positions with the Saint Louis Art Museum and Laumeier Sculpture Park.
Pegi Nardoni joined Shepherd’s Center (her first non-profit position) in 2007 and is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the organization. With over 30 years of experience, Pegi has worked for companies such as Maritz and Clinique, but she believes that nothing is more rewarding than working at the Shepherd’s Center, where she says, “The sun always shines.” Plus, the vital role of our Resource Center is the answered prayer for people in need or anyone with a desire to volunteer.
